Grandma's Blue Bowl
A blue bowl turns an ordinary meal into a memory of Xiao Yu's grandmother, and a promise for a future meal together.
奶奶的蓝碗
星期天，小雨请小明到家吃饭。
星期天，小雨請小明到家吃飯。
Xīngqītiān, Xiǎo Yǔ qǐng Xiǎo Míng dào jiā chīfàn.
On Sunday, Xiao Yu invites Xiao Ming to eat at her home.
桌子上有一个蓝碗。
桌子上有一個藍碗。
Zhuōzi shàng yǒu yí ge lán wǎn.
There is a blue bowl on the table.
小雨说：“这是奶奶的碗。”
小雨說：「這是奶奶的碗。」
Xiǎo Yǔ shuō: “Zhè shì nǎinai de wǎn.”
Xiao Yu says: “This is Grandma's bowl.”
她用这个碗吃面条儿。
她用這個碗吃麵條兒。
Tā yòng zhège wǎn chī miàntiáor.
She eats noodles from this bowl.
小明问：“奶奶也喜欢吃面条儿吗？”
小明問：「奶奶也喜歡吃麵條兒嗎？」
Xiǎo Míng wèn: “Nǎinai yě xǐhuan chī miàntiáor ma?”
Xiao Ming asks: “Does Grandma like noodles too?”
小雨说：“是，她做的面条儿很好吃。”
小雨說：「是，她做的麵條兒很好吃。」
Xiǎo Yǔ shuō: “Shì, tā zuò de miàntiáor hěn hǎochī.”
Xiao Yu says: “Yes. The noodles she makes are very good.”
小雨看碗，不说话。
小雨看碗，不說話。
Xiǎo Yǔ kàn wǎn, bù shuōhuà.
Xiao Yu looks at the bowl and says nothing.
小明说：“我们和奶奶一起吃。”
小明說：「我們和奶奶一起吃。」
Xiǎo Míng shuō: “Wǒmen hé nǎinai yìqǐ chī.”
Xiao Ming says: “We will eat with Grandma.”
