The Little Bird Goes Home
The children care for a tired bird, then understand that loving something can mean helping it return to its own home.
小鸟回家
这一天，天气不好，他们在学校外边看见一只小鸟。

Zhè yì tiān, tiānqì bù hǎo, tāmen zài xuéxiào wàibian kànjiàn yì zhī xiǎo niǎo.
That day, the weather is bad, and they see a little bird outside school.
小明想带它回家。

Xiǎo Míng xiǎng dài tā huí jiā.
Xiao Ming wants to take it home.
小雨说：“给它水吧。”
小雨說：「給它水吧。」
Xiǎo Yǔ shuō: “Gěi tā shuǐ ba.”
Xiao Yu says: “Let's give it water.”
他们找一个杯子。

Tāmen zhǎo yí ge bēizi.
They find a cup.
小鸟喝水，但是没有飞。
小鳥喝水，但是沒有飛。
Xiǎo niǎo hē shuǐ, dànshì méiyǒu fēi.
The little bird drinks water, but it does not fly.
梅老师说：“我们看它。”
梅老師說：「我們看它。」
Méi lǎoshī shuō: “Wǒmen kàn tā.”
Teacher Mei says: “Let's watch it.”
他们坐在这里，天好了。
他們坐在這裡，天好了。
Tāmen zuò zài zhèlǐ, tiān hǎo le.
They sit here, and the weather gets better.
小鸟飞上去，看他们。
小鳥飛上去，看他們。
Xiǎo niǎo fēi shàngqù, kàn tāmen.
The little bird flies up and looks at them.
小雨说：“它有家。”
小雨說：「它有家。」
Xiǎo Yǔ shuō: “Tā yǒu jiā.”
Xiao Yu says: “It has a home.”
